Arrival at Dalaman airport. Transfer to your stylish hotel, built in Mediterranean – style stone, on the serene Çukurbağ peninsula, directely by the sea and opposite the picturesque Greek island of Kastellorizo.

As there is a dolmuş bus connection between de Çukurbağ peninsula and Kaş,

the centre  is easy to reach within 15 mins.

Phellos-Antiphellos

Transfer to Pınarbaşı village ( 30 mins)

The Lycian way section from Phellos to Antiphellos , is a scenic descent through history, offering panoramic Mediterranean views, ancient ruins and a rewarding finish at Phellos, the theatre in Kaş

The path winds through pine forests, rocky terrain from Phellos to Çukurbağ and your are rewarded with beautiful views on the last part from Çukurbağ to Kaş . After you crossed the main road the route ends at the theatre in Kaş where you are collected and taken to your hotel on the Çukurbağ peninsula.

Distance: 13 km/ 4-5  hrs
Elevation: + 184 m/-840 m

Three beaches walk.

Following a transfer, the start of the walk is in a quiet elevated rural area inland from Kaş, surrounded by pine forests and traditional farmland. As you approach Limanağzı, the trail opens to breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.

Limanağzı’s beaches are perfect for a refreshing swim or meal at a seaside restaurant. On the last part of the walk along the coast, the seaviews are awesome and you will see some rock-cut tombs overlooking the sea.

Walk: 13 km/5-6 hrs
Elevation: + 393 m/ – 393 m.

Note, that it is possible to shorten the walk. You could take the ferry from Limanağzı to Kaş ( Boats depart almost every 30 mins and take ca 20 mins.

After the walk take dolmuş bus to your hotel at the Çukurbağ Peninsula.

Apollonia-Aperlae-Üçağız.

This stage of the Lycian way, is a journey through Lycian heritage. Starting near Apollonia’s hilltop ruins and descending to the remains of Aperlae, the route, which concludes in Üçağız is one of the most atmospheric coastal sections. The path, that winds through pine wood and agricultural land has not much elevation, but is often rocky underfoot with loose stones and uneven ground.

After finishing the stage into Üçağız, it’s ideal to pause here at a waterfront restaurant for a meal or drink while watching the boats come and go.
From Üçağız,you’ll transfer by boat to Simena (modern Kaleköy)

Walk: 15 km/ 5 hrs
Elevation: + 170 m/- 470 m

Night: Simena, Ankh pension (BB)
The boutique styled pension has 15 rooms scattered on a hill.
They all have A/C, private bathroom facilities, seascape balcony and hammock.
Buffet breakfast is included. Lunch and dinner a la carte.

Simena ( Kaleköy)

Simena is only accessible by boat or foot, so it feels timeless and secluded.

The village is tiny, with stone houses  draped in bougainvillea, narrow paths and Lycian tombs .

Things to Do on a Rest Day

• Climb the Castle: the Byazantine fortress above the village offers panoramic views over Kekova island and the turquoise bays.
• Explore Lycian tombs: Rock-cut tombs and sarcophagi are scattered throughout the village, including the famous half-submerged tomb in the harbour.
• Swim & Relax : the coves around Simena are crystal-clear and perfect for swimming or kayaking.
• Taste the home-made ice cream at the ‘ I am here’ café.
• Boat- or Seakayak excursion: optional trips to Kekova island to see the sunken city ruins beneath the water

Simena- Andriake ( Fethiye )

After a rest day, you set off from the castle – topped village, walking through olive groves, past the Istlada ruins it follows the coastline to the harbour of Andriaca. ( Çayağzı)

The path is varied- sections along ridges, rocky tracks and occasional forest shade

After being collected in Andriaca visit to the St Nicholas church in Demre and transfer to Fethiye (1.45 hrs)

Walk: 14 km/ 4-5 hrs

Elevation: + 114 m/ – 152 m

Night: Fethiye, Alesta Yacht hotel. (BB)

4 stars Alesta yacht hotel is very good located in the centre of Fethiye with views of the bay, marina and town.

Standard rooms are 20 SQ M have A/C / Private bathroom facilities/WİFİ/TV/Kettle .

Upgraded rooms 35 SQ M are available. (extra charged)

The hotel has a pool, Spa centre and shuttle service to the private beach club. (May-October)

Note, that it is possible to start and end  this walking holiday in Antalya if that fits you better.
