The Isparta area ( ca 150 km North of Antalya) is known of rose cultivation. In May and June vilagers are very busy gathering the pink Flower petals filled with the precious intense ethereal oil. The same day the rose petals are taken to the factories and distilled into rose oil.
On this tour you will be collected between 07.00-08.00 A.M. Following a breakfast stop visit to the Rose gardens and factory. After given information about the production methods you have the opportunity to buy rose-water,soap, oil or even rose marmelade.
In the afternoon continue to Ağlasun for a visit to the Ancient site of Sagalassos. The city is perched on a steep mountain slope, the views are breathtaking and the richly decorated and functioning Antonine Nymphaeum a masterpiece in the reconstructed Pisidian city. Upper Agora, Roman bath complex, colonnaded street , a villa, remains of pottery workshops are among the other remains of the beautifully excavated city.
