    Our 8 days guided trek takes in the best sections of the  ST Paul’s trail from Kasımlar to Karabük village on the ‘Köprülü Çay’ river and includes a visit to the stunning site of Sagalassos and remains of Adada and  theatre of Selge. The trail follows beautiful sections of Roman roads in a spectacular land of forests,canyons, rivers and peaks. For those interested in a real back country experience this is the ideal adventure hike.

    Daily Program

    Antalya- Ağlasun ( 2 hrs)

    The guide and bus collect you from your accommodation in Antalya after breakfast and drive you towards Ağlasun where the Ancient site of Sagalassos is located. There is a stop in Bucak for a short visit to the ‘ Susuzhan ‘ caravansaray, a 13 th century building type of the ‘ Han ‘ of the Seljuk period with very nice stonework.

    Sagalassos is perched on a steep hillside with breathtaking views of a series of valleys .The walk (2-4 hrs)  through Sagalassos will take you past essential landmarks such as the agora, Anthony’s fountain, the Heroon and theatre.

    Night: Comfortable rooms at the Sagalossos Lodge.

    Ağlasun- Adada- Kasımlar. ( 95 km/ 2 hrs)
    Following breakfast busride to Sağrak, a sleepy village near the Ancient city of Adada.
    Visit to the remains of theatre , three significant temples, and Bouleterion and walk on the old Roman road from Adada to Sağrak.
    Transfer from Sağrak to St Paul Yolu pension in Kasımlar ( 35 mins)
    Night: Pension in Kasımlar ( breakfast,dinner and lunch included)
    Walk: 4 km / 2-3 hrs + 86 m/ – 246 m

    Kasımlar to Kesme ( Değirmenözü)
    A short drive (10 mins) to the start of the walk in Fındıklı neighbourhood. A spectacular route starts at a bridge across the rivver and will take you over the of the canyon on old paved paths,down through mysterious rock formations passing rural huts,ancient ruins and herds of goats along the way. You meet with the car in Kesme and are transferred to Değirmenözü ( 40 mins)
    Night: guesthouse in Değirmenözü
    ( breakfast,dinner and packed lunch included)
    Walk: 14 km/ 6 hrs/ + 710 m/- 390 m
    ** Possible visit to rosegarden in June when the ‘ Rosa Damascena ‘ is harvested in this region **

    Değirmenözü to Çaltepe
    Continue to follow the beautiful trek along the canyon. Todays route takes you across the river and then along the bank of the Köprülü river partly over old walled terraces partly over limestone hills and slopes of the farming village of Çaltepe.
    Night: Comfortable rooms at Pension in Çaltepe  ( breakfast, dinner and packed lunch included)
    Walk: 18 km / 6,5-7,5 hrs) /+ 250 m/-290 m.

    Çaltepe to Selge.
    This walk is the hardest , but also the most beautiful. It climbs the Sarp Yolu, an old paved road which takes you to Delisarnıç ( meaning well-in-a hole)Here holes between huge rocks have been water proofed to make almost bottomless wells. Roman roads now take you up and down hill to the ruins of Selge. After you explored the ruins of Selge ( the theatre especcially is well – preserved)
    ** possible to shorten this walk with an extra transfer from Çaltepe to Kestanelik ( 6 km)**

    Walk: 19 km / 7 hrs/ + 820m/ -300m

    Night: Guesthouse in Altınkaya village (Selge)
    a settlement of the Yörük (nomads)
    ( breakfast, dinner and packed lunch included)

    Selge – Karabük

    Explore the theatre of Selge after breakfast and  follow the path,  through awesome rockformations as big as men, then small and steep descending ( 900 m) to a stream – be careful and slow. After you have crossed the stream, continue to Tevfiks house at the base station of the zipline and continue on a forest track past  the old  Roman Oluk ( Eurymedon ) and Buğrum bridges to your accommodation on the river at Karabük.
    Night : Small pension on the river ( HB) )
    Walk: 19 km/ 6 hrs/ + 143  m/ – 943 m

    Karabük- Perge – Antalya  
    As it’s great to start the day with early rafting when the river is empty and there is nobody around take a rafting trip or enjoy the silence of the river in the morning before you are collected and taken to the Ancient site of Perge.
    It’s collonaded streets, Roman baths and Stade are worth visiting.
    After an extensive visit to Perge ( 2-4 hrs) continue to Antalya.
    The historical centre of the city is nice to explore .
