Itinerary

Day 1: Upon arrival at Dalaman airport transfer to your hotel in Ölüdeniz( 55 km/ 1 hrs)

Overnight: comfortable hotel with swimming pool, big garden, view on Ölüdeniz.(BB)

Day 2. Ölüdeniz to Faralya.
Following a short transfer to Ovacık ( the official start point of the Lycian way)the walk starts with a climb over the extreme western end of the Baba Dag mountain range. The path rises steeply from just above sea level to the traditional village of Kirme with its sloping terraced fields, where locals harvest olives and keep goats and cattle. From Kirme, head down a deep valley carrying a millstream to Faralya village. Faralya Village lies at the top of the deep valley know as Butterfly Valley and the views down to the beach and the deep indigo sea from here are quite something.

Day 3: Faralya to Alınca
An easier morning walk takes you along the southwest slope of Baba Dag mountain to Kabak, with pines trees on your left, and views of the sea to your right. A steeper ascent then takes you out of the Aladere valley and over a ridge to the village of Alinca, where the views back along the coast to Olu Deniz are spectacular

Day 4 : Alınca- Sidyma – Bel
From cliff-top Alınca follow the route into the gentle farming country around Boğazıcı. The views on the capes of yedi burun are stunning. Then follow the old climbing path to Sidyma where remains of an Antique settlement are scattered around an inland valley. After you have explored the ruins and drank your tea continue to Bel where Fatma awaits you.

**should you have an extra night, then we advise to stay in Bel for another day**
You could walk to Gey ( 8 km) or spend a day herding goats and collecting herbs (sage)

Day 5: Bel- Pydnai
Follow the old , rocky Roman road down to Gavurağılı and Pydnai , a small naval and military base, on the W end of the Patara beach. Transfer to Gelemiş village via Xhantos

Day 6: Delikkemer- Patara
A short transfer will take you to the Roman Delikkemer aquaduct. From here walk back to Patara via the Patara ruins and it’s long sandy beach.The ruins of Patara, which was once the major naval and trading port of Lycia, include a necropolis, basilica, theatre and lighthouse.
After taking your time to explore here, return via one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey to your hotel.

Day 7: Following a transfer to Çavdır, the trail leads to an aquaduct that crosses the Alıdere valley on a small Roman bridge. After Inpınar, the aquaduct source, it wanders through wooden country to Üzümlü and descends to Islamlar and Akbel, where you will stay or take a minibus to Kalkan.

Day 8: Onward travel
You will be transferred to Dalaman ( ca 2 hrs)
